Dal bati : Dal Bati is a exotic rajashthani dish that goes with gatte ki sabzi and sweet called churma.Dal bati is a whole meal dish
(carbohydrates +protien ) In this way i will discuss ways of making dal bati and mind it ,this is one of the easiest exotic dish
which required minimum ingredients and can be made any where in the world

Bati ingredients :

2 cups of suji (rawa)

2 cups of whole wheat flour
salt to taste
1 tbsp of ajwaan
4 tbsp of ghee
1/2 cup of fresh curd (optional)
1/2 tsp of baking soda
Water for kneading the dough

mix all the ingredients in pot knead the dough of soft consistency and leave it for 1/2 hr.After 1/2 take few drops of oil(ghee)
and water and the knead the dough again softly

1) Method using a gas tandoor
pre heat the gas tandoor make small balls of the bati dough and arrange them in the gas tanodoor
Close the lid of the tandoor make the flame of the glass medium .change the sides of the batis frequently in 7-8 min
Do it until all the batis are done with crust .Immediately after removing them from tandoor dip them in the pot of ghee
(crack them slowly if u want the ghee to immersed in the bati )
2) Method using boiling water :
Boil water in a large vessel .When the water is boiling put the batis in water cook them on medium flame and keep stirring in between
Remember always use a thick bottom pan to avoid sticking of batis.After 15-20 minutes the batis will get done remove them from water
Cut the batis in halve and fry them in ghee on medium flame .Immediately after removing them from tandoor dip them in the pot of ghee
(crack them slowly if u want the ghee to immersed in the bati )

3) Method using a appam pot
In this method we make small batis that can fit in ur appam tray.Put the appam tray for heating .Pour small ghee in each ball of appam
tray put the batis in .close the tray .Bake the batis on low flame .After 10-15 min bake them on the other side until they are done
Immediately after removing them from tandoor dip them in the pot of ghee
(crack them slowly if u want the ghee to immersed in the bati )

4) Using charcaol stove
Make charcaol tray of light up the whole charcoal tray and immerse the batis in the between charcaol bake them slowly by turning
them on each side frequently .This method requires few more time to bake the batis and it is very tedious job.But mind it this is the
most traditional method of making bati and it makes the most delicious batis because it uses slow flame .Immediately after removing them from tandoor dip them in the pot of ghee
(crack them slowly if u want the ghee to immersed in the bati )

(Tips : I have never triend make bati in microwave and not even heard of it ,but some people can also use microwave for making bati)
